    Characteristics of plywood and particle boards

     plywood has the following characteristics

2.The strength of the plywood is higher than that of the particle board. It can withstand greater loads and longer periods of use

4.Good aesthetics The surface of the plywood is smooth, the wood grain is clear, and it has a natural beauty.

      However, the plywood also has some shortcomings, that is, due to the cross-bonding of multi-layer boards, so the dispersion of the force is single, if it is a high cabinet, it is easy to deformation for a long time

     Particle board has the following characteristics

1.Nail holding force is good, because the particle board is made of wood particles such as wood chips and scraps by spraying glue, so its nail holding force is very good

2.Nice price ,Particle board price is lower than plywood, suitable for consumers with limited budgets.

3.The surface of the particle board is smooth and can be painted or covered with wood bark, which has a good decorative effect.

    However, the particle board has a fatal disadvantage, that is, it is easy to expand after water immersion, so its waterproof and moisture-proof ability is not enough, and because the internal structure of the particle board is inconsistent, so it is difficult to process

    Of course, in the environmental protection aspect that everyone is concerned about, the plywood is still closer to everyone's needs, the plywood is composed of solid wood veneer, with less glue, the environmental protection level reaches E1 level, and the environmental protection level of the particle board only reaches E0 level

    All the plates are most concerned about the nail-holding power, pressure resistance, environmental protection, water resistance and other aspects, and then a simple performance comparison for plywood and particle board                                              The higher the value, the stronger the performance, the full score is 5 points

    From the table, we can see that the performance of the plywood is better than that of the particle board as a whole, mainly in terms of environmental protection and waterproof performance, which is the natural shortcomings of the particle board in the production process.

  Due to the poor waterproof performance of particle boards, cracking of the edge sealing can easily occur if it is soaked in moisture for a long time after the edge sealing process is completed.
