We all know that veneer and melamine panels can both be produced with a wood grain pattern, so what's the difference? The following is a comparison of the two
Wood veneer panels are veneer panels made from wood veneer hot pressed onto a substrate board, which is a very thin piece of wood that is applied to plywood, particle board or other types of man-made panels and then fabricated into furniture.
Melamine board is formed by soaking paper of different colours or textures in melamine resin glue and then drying it to a certain degree. It is commonly used for various furniture and cabinet decorations.
Textures | Eco-friendly | Durable | Cleaning | |
Wood Venner | Very realistic wood grain | Good environmental performance | Wears out faster | Flat and easy to clean |
Melamine Board | Specification industrial grain | Average environmental performance | Slow wear out | Not easy to clean |
